In 1999, the Ecoteck brand developed and became an independent but integral part of C.F.M. Srl, a company producing metalwork for stoves and fireplaces since 1970 boasting several decades of experience in the heating sector.

After the introduction of wood pellets to the Austrian market in 1996, ÖkoFEN was the first Austrian manufacturer to present to the public, in 1997, a certified pellet heating system. This pioneering activity has had wide ranging effects and represents the beginning of an extraordinary market development.

Onze producten worden enkel verdeeld via de professionele installateurs. Eindverbruikers zullen dan ook steeds doorverwezen worden naar de meest geschikte verdeler voor een bepaald product. Bij de pelletsproducten eisen wij van de installateurs dat zij bij ons regelmatig een opleiding volgen i.v.m. onze producten. Geïnteresseerden kunnen bij ons steeds de gegevens krijgen van de dichtstbijzijnde dealer. Enkel zo kan men weten of het al dan niet een installateur is die aan onze kwaliteitseisen (mbt kennis en dienst na verkoop) voldoet.

Een goede schouw is ROND,GLAD AAN BINNENZIJDE, GEISOLEERD en GEDIMENSIONNEERD

Oorzaken van de meeste problemen:

De schoorsteen koelt te snel af
De schoorsteen is ofwel te groot voor het aangesloten vermogen ofwel te slecht geïsoleerd
Een vernauwing van de schoorsteen die er voor zorgt dat de schoorsteen 'blaast' (overdruk) i.p.v. 'trekt' (onderdruk).

Het aansteken van een kachel in een "slechte schouw" is kritiek. Het afdrijven van rookgas naar boven kan enkel wanneer een merkelijk temperatuursverschil tussen onder en boven schouw ontstaat. De gaszuil, in aanvang lucht en daarna verbrandingsgas, in de schouw dient zo snel als mogelijk goed opgewarmd te zijn zodat de gasbeweging naar boven kan ontstaan. Dit is het geval bij een goed geconcipieerde schouw.
In bepaalde omstandigheden is rookafvoer een fysisch probleem :
Als de schoorsteen 's nachts sterk afkoelt en de ochtendzon de buitentemperatuur doet stijgen
Als de schoorsteen in het warme seizoen kouder is dan de buitentemperatuur
Als de gaszuil in de schoorsteen ,om welke reden ook, in bedrijf lager blijft dan de buitentemperatuur
